The Reedy football team earned a thrilling 30-27 overtime victory over Lancaster on Friday, rallying from a 21-0 deficit in the first half to stay alive in the 5A Division I playoff bracket.
Reedy will now face Mansfield Timberview in the next round of the playoffs. The pair of undefeated teams, each with 12-0 records this season, will play Friday (Nov. 25) at 3 p.m. at Pennington Field in Bedford.

Reedy fell behind Lancaster 21-0 midway through the second quarter at Ellis Stadium in Irving, but defense helped the Lions get back in the game.
After Connor McGrath returned Lancaster's onside kick 52 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter, Reedy returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns in the second half. Cade Hebel returned a pick 14 yards for a touchdown and then Cooper Clabo returned one 52 yards for a score.
Lancaster scored another touchdown in the fourth quarter, but Reedy's Kahlil Smith scored on a 10-yard run and the game went to overtime tied at 27-27. In overtime, Jackson Runyan boomed a 46-yard field goal through the uprights and then Reedy's defense stopped Lancaster to secure the win.
