The fall sports seasons started last month, but for many of Frisco ISD’s football and volleyball teams, the intensity and excitement will get kicked up a notch this week.
That’s because district play begins for many of FISD’s teams this week. In volleyball, most FISD teams in District 9-5A and 10-5A open district play on Friday (Sept. 9). In football, most FISD teams in Division I District 6-5A open play Thursday or Friday.
If you find the new arrangement of University Interscholastic League (UIL) athletic districts confusing, you’re not the only one. Below you will find the breakdown of where Frisco ISD teams from all 12 high schools are in the latest UIL realignment, which is in effect for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years.
After the first district games are played this week, fans can follow district standings. As always, you can also find games on the composite athletics schedule and the Frisco ISD composite varsity football schedule. Schedules for sub-varsity and middle school athletics can be found through RankOne Sport.
Team tennis has already begun district play, with playoffs scheduled to start October 10. The District 9-5A and 10-5A cross country meets are scheduled for October 13.
