Seven FISD Tennis Teams Ranked Among the Best in the State

The high level of tennis, as well as the depth of the quality of the teams, is remarkable in Frisco ISD. Last year in the team tennis playoffs, for example, all four of the Frisco ISD playoff qualifiers advanced to at least the third round of the playoffs.

That's four really good teams, obviously.

But FISD actually has far more than four good team tennis squads, and it shows in this year's early-season Texas Tennis Coaches State Rankings.

In Class 5A, a whopping seven Frisco ISD teams are ranked among the top 11 in the state!

3. Reedy

4. Centennial

5. Lebanon Trail

6. Wakeland

7. Independence

9. Heritage

11. Liberty

Fortunately, more than four of those teams can make the playoffs this year. With the new two-year UIL alignment, Centennial, Lebanon Trail, Independence, Heritage and Liberty are in a separate district from Reedy and Wakeland. (Full explanation on the new athletic districts).

It should be very exciting when teams begin district play later this month.
