Representatives from Frisco ISD, Children’s Health and the Frisco Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated a ribbon cutting and grand opening for the FISD Employee Clinic and Children's Health Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Frisco.

Both operate out of a shared space owned by the District and leased by Dallas Physician Medical Services for Children (DPMSC). The site location, 6950 Stadium Lane, is the former home of the FISD Athletic Office and has been fully renovated.

The FISD Employee Clinic provides District employees with onsite acute care services at no cost. Staff can be treated for minor ailments such as colds, flu, strains and sprains, etc. with clinic visits paid by FISD.

Free services are also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through a virtual clinic, allowing employees to receive care when and where they need it.

FISD is one of only a small number of school districts in Texas to offer this benefit to employees. The clinic joins a list of unique and attractive benefits that demonstrate the District’s commitment to employee recruitment and retention.

“This facility represents an investment in our most valuable resource, our staff,” said Deputy Superintendent Dr. Todd Fouche. “We value and care about our employees as people first, and they need to be physically, mentally and emotionally healthy to bring the best for our students each day. We are committed to supporting them and helping them avoid out-of-pocket costs for minor health issues.”

The partnership is a first-of-its-kind arrangement for both Frisco ISD and Children’s Health, which already provided full-time athletic trainers to FISD middle and high schools.
