Emerson Coach Kendall Miller Selected as THSCA President-Elect

Kendall Miller, the head football coach and campus athletic coordinator at Emerson High School, was chosen Tuesday (July 19) as the President-Elect of the Texas High School Coaches Association. Miller was selected by fellow THSCA members as part of the organization's Coaching School and Convention in San Antonio.

The selection shows the level of respect coaches have statewide for Miller, who was hired as Emerson's first head football coach and campus athletic coordinator in February of 2021. Emerson opened its doors to freshmen and sophomore students in the fall of 2021 and will field its first varsity teams during the 2022-23 school year.

Before joining Frisco ISD, Miller spent nine years as the head football coach and campus athletic coordinator at Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland. He started his head coaching career at South Oak Cliff in 2009.

THSCA has more than 24,000 coaches as members statewide.
