Liberty High School's team of Milla Dopson and Sanjheev Rao are the 5A UIL state tennis champions in mixed doubles. The dominant team rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 victory in the championship match Wednesday (April 27) at Northside Tennis Center in San Antonio.
Although facing the top 5A mixed doubles teams in the state, Dopson and Rao didn't play a close match at state. In their three matches combined, they won 36 games to their opponents' four.
Frisco ISD had a total of 11 student-athletes competing in the state tennis tournament:
