The District 9-5A Swimming and Diving Championships, including top athletes from all 11 Frisco ISD high schools, are Thursday and Friday (Jan. 20-21) at FISD’s Bruce Eubanks Natatorium.
The diving competition is on Thursday, with recognition of senior divers at 12:15 p.m. and the competition beginning at 12:30. The swimming competition will be Friday, with races beginning at 11:10 a.m., a break for recognition of seniors at 11:45, and competition resuming at 12:15.

The top finishers at the 9-5A meet will advance to the 5A Region III meet, which will be Feb. 3-5 at the Eubanks Natatorium. The top finishers at the region meet qualify for the UIL State Meet, which will be Feb. 18-19 in Austin.
Last year, Wakeland won both the boys and girls District 9-5A titles and Reedy was second. The Wakeland boys team went on to win the Class 5A State Title and Frisco ISD swimmers and divers won three individual state titles and earned medals in 13 events.
Frisco ISD schools have won seven team state championships, and since 2016, Frisco has had 17 individual state champions and 60 individual state medalists.
