Student Transfer Requests Accepted Starting Jan. 17
Elementary and middle school parents who would like to transfer their student(s) to another FISD campus for the 2022-23 school year can submit a request online Jan.17-Feb. 4. The list of open campuses is available now for review. FISD does not allow high school transfers and only enrolls students who live within the District. This is the beginning of the back-to-school process for next school year, and there will be another opportunity to request a student transfer this summer.

New Campuses Named for Former District Leaders
Two new secondary schools will be named for longtime former Frisco ISD employees who led the District through remarkable growth. Richard Wilkinson oversaw new school construction and bond planning during his two decades with FISD, helping to open more than 60 schools. Shana Wortham led communications and community relations efforts for FISD over the same time period. Wilkinson Middle School will open in 2023 in northwest Frisco. Wortham Intermediate School will also open next year in McKinney.
January is School Board Recognition Month
Frisco ISD wants to take a moment to recognize and thank trustees for their tireless dedication to students and staff. Trustees are elected officials who spend countless volunteer hours donating their time and energy to understand and advocate for the Frisco ISD community at the district, state and national level. This year’s School Board Recognition Month theme is Rising Above in recognition of the challenges school boards across the country are currently facing in K-12 education. Please join us in acknowledging these leaders: President Rene Archambault, Vice President John Classe, Secretary Chad Rudy, Gopal Ponangi, Natalie Hebert, Dynette Davis and Debbie Gillespie.
