Frisco ISD Cross Country Invitational Will Feature Top Runners

The Frisco ISD Cross Country Invitational arrives on Saturday (September 18), featuring the top runners from FISD as well as runners from other high schools in the Dallas area.

Runners from all 11 FISD high schools -- including Emerson, which opened last month – will participate in the 38th Frisco ISD Cross Country Invitational. The event will be held at the spacious Warren Sports Complex, which is located at 7599 Eldorado Parkway in Frisco.

The event will start with the girls varsity race at 7:30 a.m., followed by the boys varsity race at 7:55 a.m. The junior varsity girls race will be at 8:20 a.m. and the junior varsity boys race will be at 8:50 a.m.

Spectators for the event should enter Warren Sports Complex from Eldorado Parkway. Parking will be available in the large lots just south of Eldorado, and the starting area and finish line will be in the southeast corner of the park near Rogers Road.

The Frisco ISD Cross Country Invitational will give runners an idea of where they stand a little less a month from the District 9-5A Meet, which will be held October 14 at Warren Sports Complex. The top qualifiers from the District 9-5A meet qualify for the Region 2-5A Meet (October 25 in Dallas) and the UIL State Meet will be November 6 in Round Rock.
