Staff Pitch in to Fill Needs Around the District
As the new school year begins, several Frisco ISD departments and schools are operating with a number of unfilled positions. The principal at Trent Middle School recently took notice when the District’s managing director of transportation pulled up outside his school behind the wheel of a school bus. FISD has immediate job openings in child nutrition, maintenance, special education and transportation. The District offers paid training, flexible schedules and many other benefits, including the ability for employees’ children to attend FISD schools.

Free Online Tutorials Available to Secondary Students
Free online tutorials are back this school year for middle and high school students, saving parents time and money that might otherwise be spent on outside tutors. The weekday evening sessions are aligned with what students are learning in the classroom and are designed for students who need a quick reteach, additional strategies or content clarification.

New Club Team to Expand Student Opportunity
The new swimming and diving facility set to be complete later this fall – the District’s second – is making room for a new club team owned by Frisco ISD. The club, called Iron Horse Aquatics, will be a member of USA Swimming and will hold year-round practices and competitions. The club will be open to children and teens between 5 and 18 years old, including FISD swimmers and divers. Tryouts are scheduled in mid-September.
