Frisco ISD implemented new protocols this summer as COVID-19 conditions continue to improve and the vaccine becomes more widely available.
The most significant change is that face coverings are longer required as of June 1, 2021.
Positive cases of COVID-19 must still be reported and those who have tested positive must quarantine for 10 days. Parents and staff will continue to be notified of positive cases, but close contact reviews will not be conducted and students and staff will not be required to quarantine for exposure.
A full list of the new procedures is available on the COVID-19 section of the District website.
Frisco ISD expects to carry these summer protocols forward into the 2021-22 school year, though they are subject to change as a result of COVID-19 trends or guidance from the Texas Education Agency.
