Frisco ISD Families Invited to Virtual Workforce Fair

Virtual Workforce Fair

Frisco ISD is excited to partner with the Frisco ISD Council of PTA’s to offer a Virtual Workforce Fair March 22-26 as an additional way to educate, prepare and connect students with post-secondary career options and pathways.

The week will include several speakers and is built to equip students and parents with knowledge and information regarding a wide range of career options right here in the community. From makeup artistry and mechanic apprenticeships to first responder training and construction, Frisco ISD hopes to help create pathways of exploration for students to learn more about what they could consider as future careers.

“Society and the needs of the workforce are evolving, and we want to help fill that need by informing our students of a wide variety of post-secondary options,” said Heather Mayfield, Coordinator of Secondary Counseling Services. “All students should have a plan for after high school, whether that means college, two-year certificate programs, the military or work-force training programs that can provide opportunities directly after high school in high-demand careers.

“We encourage all students to reflect on their goals and to explore multiple post-secondary options for purpose and success.”

Students and their families can view the schedule of events and register for each individual session they want to attend.

The District plans to record the presentations and will make them available on the Guidance and Counseling website.

While the schedule is set for this year’s fair, interested businesses should contact Heather Mayfield at for potential inclusion in the 2022 Frisco ISD Workforce Fair.
