Frisco ISD encourages new families moving to the area, as well as those with students entering Kindergarten, to register their students now for the 2020-21 school year.
The online registration form is available here.
In addition, FISD invites parents of students who may qualify for free, full-day Pre-Kindergarten to submit their information to the District. More details on enrollment criteria and the registration process can be found here.
Early registration helps Frisco ISD plan for enrollment growth and staffing needs, including class size considerations. It also helps families prepare for the new school year.
The registration process for the 2020-21 school year will be entirely online, except for those students who require language testing. There is no need to visit in-person to present copies of required documents, which can be shared securely via an online upload feature.
Frisco ISD will process new student registration throughout the spring and summer in the order in which online submissions were received. A special team will be devoted to virtually reviewing submitted documents and processing student enrollment from June 15 to July 10. During that time, staff will contact parents regarding the process for language testing if needed. Parents will receive a welcome letter to the District via email once their online registration form has been processed and enrollment is complete.
New families should note that two FISD campuses – Liscano and Nichols elementary schools – are closed to new student enrollment for the 2020-21 school year unless the family has a student entering Kindergarten. New students in grades 1-5 will enroll at nearby campuses instead with transportation provided by the District. Find more details here.
Returning Student Registration
The annual registration process for returning students will begin May 18-28 for students enrolled prior to April 17. Parents will receive a unique snapcode via email to complete the registration process online. Parents of students who enroll for the 2019-20 school year after April 17 can expect to receive their invitation emails June 15-28. The form is also utilized to indicate intent to withdraw if your student is not returning to FISD in the fall.
Proof of residency information will also be collected electronically for all campuses this year via a separate online form. In addition, updated immunization records may be required to finalize registration before the new school year begins.
