Dear Frisco ISD Parents and Guardians,
During a press conference this afternoon, Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, extended the suspension of all in-person classes for public schools through May 1, 2020. The purpose of extending the closure is to help eliminate the spread of COVID-19.
Frisco ISD teachers will continue to provide alternative learning options to our students through eLearning. Each teacher has virtual office hours which are posted on campus websites for any questions you or your student may have.
Frisco ISD hopes you will take this time to care for yourself, your family and those around you, and continue to adhere to the preventative measures as recommended by public health officials, such as limiting interaction and practicing social distancing. Please note that all school playgrounds are closed during this time and we must discourage playdates, sleepovers, etc. For additional information and tips, visit the CDC website.
District offices and all campuses will remain closed to the public.
The district will continue to reassess the situation in our community and will seek additional guidance from our local, state and federal agencies, including Collin County Health Services, Denton County Public Health, Texas Health and Human Services, the Texas Education Agency and CDC.
The district website and emails will continue to be the main source for general parent and student information. For the most current and accurate district information, go to FISD's COVID19 responses.
Thank you for your patience and partnership as we work together to deliver a successful learning experience for our students under these unprecedented circumstances.
