Program Guides Students Through Business Development Process

An exciting academic program, now in its second year, is teaching students how to create and market their own business or service. The Business Incubator Program utilizes a special curriculum called INCubatoredu and ACCELeratoredu to provide students with an authentic entrepreneurship experience. The program challenges students to be innovative and resourceful as they develop solutions to real-world problems. It relies on the support of volunteers, who help coach and mentor students based on their own knowledge and experience. Sponsorship opportunities are also available to support the program and help launch students’ business ideas.

Congratulations to Campus Teachers of the Year

Frisco ISD is honored to recognize 72 outstanding educators who have been named Campus Teacher of the Year by colleagues at their respective schools. FISD Makes Advanced Placement (AP) District Honor Roll

For the third straight year, Frisco ISD has been recognized by the College Board with inclusion on the Annual Advanced Placement (AP) District Honor Roll. The distinction honors school districts who increase the number of students participating in AP exams while also increasing or maintaining the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher. One component is increasing or maintaining the percentage of students from certain ethnic groups who take the exams and achieve at high levels. FISD currently offers 30 AP courses and will add another next year, AP Computer Science Principles.

FISD Offers Earlier Time Frame for Student Transfer Requests

Frisco ISD will offer a window several months earlier than past years for elementary and middle school families looking to transfer their students to schools other than their home campuses in the 2020-21 school year. The request form will go live Jan. 20. The District only allows K-8 transfers to schools with a projected enrollment less than 90% capacity. The list of open campuses will be available online Jan. 6. FISD is also accepting second semester transfer requests for the current school year now through Dec. 20.
