CTEC Students Decorate Gingerbread Houses for Parkview Senior Living
The Career and Technical Education Center dual credit bake shop students have been collaborating on a Christmas project with Parkview Senior Living. The students decorated gingerbread houses that the food and beverage team at Parkview constructed. Once the houses are complete, the students will display them in the front entranceway of the Parkview complex. The gingerbread houses are certain to bring joy to everyone who sees them!
Trent Middle School Teacher is a Donors Choose Award Recipient
Trent Middle School sixth-grade teacher Charles Buechele was presented with a grant from the Premier Educators and Donors Choose/Horace Mann. His sixth-grade reading classroom is a place where students love to be. The grant was for high-interest books, including choose-your-own-adventure style books that students love reading. The kids are excited that they will soon have a bunch of choose-your-own-adventure books to read and experience. Buechele knows that it will help more of his reluctant readers to open up a book and try new things. With reading centers, banana trees, exotic rain forest plants, dart frogs, chameleons and a waterfall mural, the classroom is a hands-on reading jungle designed to help students succeed.
