Frisco ISD theatrical design students and Frisco High School One Act Play thespians competed at the UIL State Contest in Round Rock, concluding a successful year with numerous accomplishments across the District.
One Act Play
The Frisco High School theatre department competed in the final round of competition at the state UIL One Act Play Contest with “Shipwrecked: An Entertainment.”
The cast and crew placed 2nd in the state, as first runners up. The outstanding accomplishment also included recognition of Xavier Momjian who was recognized with the Best Actor Award and the Samuel French Award. Nicole Corbo received a Honorable Mention Acting Award.

McKenna Davenport, joined 10 state qualifiers from Frisco ISD as they presented their theatrical designs to state adjudicators. Davenport, a senior at Reedy High School, achieved an esteemed 5th place finish in Marketing Design.
Congratulations to Davenport who created an inspiration board, marketing calendar, original poster, playbill and consideration of a special event or children’s guide. She also wrote a justification paper pulling together these five required items.
