A record number of Frisco ISD high school students are headed to State Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) after competing January 16 in Prosper at the Region 10N VASE competition. The District is sending 83 works of art along with students and their teachers to the state VASE competition in San Marcos, April 26-27.
At regional VASE, students were judged on an interview with a judge and the artwork itself. Nearly 700 Frisco ISD works of art received the highest rating of a four.
State VASE is more than a competition. Students have the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops, sketching opportunities and compete for scholarship money. Teachers may participate in educator workshops. The event is intended to provide a forum for art teachers and students to meet and to grow artistically and personally.
Congratulations to all students who competed at VASE regionals and those listed below who are headed to state!
