2018 Bond Projects to Begin This Summer

Plans are moving forward for a number of school renovations and upgrades approved by voters in November. This year’s construction projects will be funded through both the 2014 and 2018 bond programs. The District plans to install artificial turf at three baseball and softball fields, pave marching band fields, expand the athletics offices and more. Fields at Frisco, Independence and Reedy high schools were selected for artificial turf due to their location, field size and ability to host revenue-generating tournaments and playoff games.

FISD Honors Student-Athletes at Signing Day Ceremony

More than 100 Frisco ISD student-athletes, along with their families and coaches, gathered Wednesday evening for the first District-wide Signing Day Celebration. The event, which was held at the Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center, included a red-carpet entrance, unique photo opportunities, a visit by Cowboys offensive lineman Connor Williams and FISD’s first group photo of all its signees.

DEVELOP THE WHOLE CHILD

Frisco ISD is committed to supporting students’ social, emotional and mental health needs. Each month, teachers share lessons with students to help them develop important life skills and positive character traits.

This month, schools are working to help students develop social intelligence – the ability to understand other people and act wisely in response. Encourage your kids to be good listeners, empathetic of others and adapt their behavior based on various social settings.
