FISD Students Take 21-Day Healthy Snack Challenge
Frisco ISD elementary campuses are in the middle of the annual 21-Day Healthy Snack Challenge in partnership with Medical City Children’s Hospital and Texas ProStart culinary programs. The challenge goes through Oct. 21. Norris Elementary School had the highest percentage of students participating in the District with 94 percent of their students signing up and Mooneyham Elementary had the largest number of people to sign up with 564 people registering to take part in the challenge.
Partners in Education Salutes Companies for Supporting Summer Internships
Allison Miller, Frisco ISD director of community relations, recognized the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Verona Villa, Careington, LaunchPad City and Jamba Juice for their participation in the NBCF/Frisco ISD Summer Internship Program for FISD students at the October 15th meeting of the Frisco ISD School Board. Kordel Speaks at Texas Economic Development Council Conference
Chief Academic Officer Katie Kordel was a guest speaker at the Texas Economic Development Council’s conference in Fort Worth Thursday. The council highlighted partnerships between schools and business leaders via the INCubatoredu program. Kordel represented Frisco ISD along with other school leaders from the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
