Alma Campo will be the lead counselor when Memorial High School opens this coming fall. She is currently a counselor at Heritage High School. During her 12 years of counseling in Frisco ISD, she also has been a counselor at Centennial High School and Liberty High School.
Campo is a graduate of Sul Ross State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and her master’s degree in school counseling.
She began her career as a Spanish and English teacher, and has been a counselor for almost two decades. She says working with many strong leaders in Frisco ISD has allowed her to grow in her profession.
Campo has worked in Frisco ISD as it has grown into a large school district serving families from all around the world. She takes pride in being a girl from a small town in West Texas.
“Frisco ISD’s mission of knowing every student by name and need is something I take to heart, as I lived it in a small-town setting,” she said. “I hope to bring this life experience to my new role and help Mrs. Redden fulfill her vision as we build a new campus culture and community.”
