Admissions Process
In November, eighth grade students from across Frisco ISD may submit an admissions form to express interest in attending the IB Diploma programme at Frisco High School.
Admissions Guidelines
Admissions Deadlines
Admissions forms will ONLY be accepted during the following timeframes for the student groups indicated (ending at 11:59 p.m. on each closing date):
-
November 1-17: Existing FISD students entering 9th grade for the 2022-23 school year. A valid Frisco ISD student ID is needed to complete the admissions form.
-
New to district students will have an opportunity to seek admissions later on a first come first serve basis once they are enrolled for the 2023-24 school year. Please reach out to Jenna Gates, FHS IB Campus Coordinator, with questions related to the IB Diploma Programme and or to see about available space in the program.
Parents and students will be notified of their admissions status via email starting on December 1 at 5 p.m. Once notified of selection, parents will have 72 hours to accept or deny the offer to enroll in the FHS IB Diploma Programme.
Students who are not initially selected will be placed on a wait list. The lottery process will continue until all available seats are filled. Parents will receive a notification email if a spot becomes available throughout the spring semester.
Students enrolled in the FHS IB Diploma Programme will be guaranteed acceptance to the school in subsequent years.
Once students are selected, the IB Campus Coordinator will send communication to parents and students regarding middle school campus visits to update each student’s four-year high school plan.
