Admissions Process

Elementary students from across Frisco ISD may submit an admissions form to express interest in attending Bright Academy. If you live in the Bright attendance zone, you do not need to fill out an admissions form.

Admissions forms will be accepted during two time frames: in February for students currently enrolled in FISD and in the spring after Kindergarten Kickoff for new Kindergarten students. Students will be randomly selected for enrollment using a lottery process based on the number of seats available. Parents and students will be notified of their admissions status via email. Once notified, parents will have 72 hours to accept or deny the offer to enroll at Bright Academy. If your student is not initially admitted into Bright Academy, there may still be spots opening up later in the summer as they become available. The lottery process will continue until all available seats are filled.

Students enrolled in Bright Academy for a school year will be guaranteed acceptance to the school in subsequent years following adherence to all admission, attendance and behavioral policies.
