Elementary students from across Frisco ISD may submit an admissions form to express interest in attending Bright Academy. If you live in the Bright attendance zone, you do not need to fill out an admissions form.
Admissions forms will ONLY be accepted during the following timeframes for the student groups indicated (ending at 11:59 p.m. on the closing date):
February 17 - March 6, 2020: Online admissions form available for all upcoming 1-5 students that are currently enrolled in Frisco ISD.
April 10-24, 2020: Online admissions form available for all incoming kindergarten students. This admission period falls during kindergarten round-up, which families will need to complete BEFORE completing the Bright Academy admissions form as a student ID number is necessary to complete the admissions process.
Students will be randomly selected for enrollment using a lottery process based on the number of seats available. Parents and students will be notified of their admissions status via email by the dates below:
Grades 1-5: Lotto notifications will go out starting March 20, 2020 and will continue until all spots are filled.
Kindergarten: Lotto notifications will go out starting April 27, 2020 and will continue until all spots are filled.
Once notified, parents will have 72 hours to accept or deny the offer to enroll at Bright Academy. If your student is not initially admitted into Bright Academy, there may still be spots opening up later in the summer as they become available. The lottery process will continue until all available seats are filled.
Students enrolled in Bright Academy for the 2020-2021 school year will be guaranteed acceptance to the school in subsequent years following adherence to all admission, attendance and behavioral policies. Admissions Form
