The following graph shows the breakdown of new positive COVID-19 cases involving Frisco ISD students and staff each day for the last 28 calendar days. The line shows the trend in a 7-day rolling average of daily new cases. Positive cases are associated with the date of symptom onset or date of positive test if no symptoms. This date does not necessarily align with the date the case was reported to FISD or communicated to parents and staff.
Covid-19 Activity Level
Activity level data is updated each week. However, Frisco ISD reports cases based on onset date. As a result, there is often a delay between the date of the case on the dashboard and when the case is actually counted in disease activity level metrics. For example, a case that onset on March 1 may not be reported until March 6 and as a result, the 7-day averages that include March 1 may change. The Average Daily New Cases number posted on the dashboard is a snapshot taken at a particular time and is subject to change as cases are reported.
Average Daily New Cases: 7-day rolling average of daily new Frisco ISD student and staff cases
Case Trend: Trend in 7-day rolling average of daily new Frisco ISD student and staff cases over the prior 14 days
Close Contact Positive Rate: Percent of Frisco ISD staff or students with on-campus close contacts and no known external exposure who test positive within 14 days of close contact
Average Concentration of Daily Cases: Number of new cases reported by the average campus in Frisco ISD each day

Active COVID-19 Cases
table provides a summary of active, test-confirmed COVID-19 cases involving
Frisco ISD students (on-campus cases and off-campus cases) and staff members as reported to the District. Individuals are associated with their home campus or
assigned building, though some staff and students may be involved in in-person
activities at more than one District location. Individuals who have tested positive are considered "active" and may not return to campus until they have completed the required quarantine period. The individual must also pass a screening process conducted by their campus nurse or supervisor upon return to school/work. For more information associated with the isolation, quarantine, reporting and notification of positive COVID-19 cases on
campus, please refer to the District’s Disease Mitigation Guidelines.

Table updates every day at 8:35PM
*Because students are associated only with their home campuses for the purposes of this reporting, data is unavailable for students at the Career and Technical Education Center and Student Opportunity Center.
Student (On-Campus Case): Positive case involving a Frisco ISD student when the student participated in an on-campus activity in the 48 hours prior to testing positive or developing symptoms. Could be a face-to-face or Virtual Academy student since virtual students may also participate in some on-campus activities.
Student (Off-Campus Case): Positive case involving a Frisco ISD student when the student was not on campus in the 48 hours prior to testing positive or developing symptoms. Could be a Virtual Academy student or a face-to-face student who was absent or already in quarantine during the infectious period.
Staff: Positive case involving a Frisco ISD employee. This includes all cases involving staff, regardless of whether the individual was on campus during the infectious period.
Cumulative COVID-19 Cases
Positive cases include both "on-campus" and "off-campus" cases as defined above.
