FISD Helps Salute the Troops in Community Parade

Preparations are in full swing for the annual Frisco Community Parade scheduled at 11 a.m., November 8, on Main Street originating from Pizza Hut Park. The theme is Salute to the Troops.

The Community Parade Committee is made up of volunteers including former Mayor Mike Simpson and FISD School Board Member Buddy Minett among others. The committee has secured Texas Congressman Ralph Hall of the Fourth District to serve as parade grand marshal.

“We are very excited about plans for this year’s event. We already know a few schools are working on parade entry ideas and we hope for more soon. People are able to sign up on-line at www.Friscoparade.com ,” Minett said. “We hope many other groups decide to enter this year. The fall parade is a long-standing tradition in Frisco and makes great memories for families.”

Information on fees is available on-line. No parade registration is being charged for schools.
