Congrats to the Wakeland HS Band. On Tuesday, November 3, 2009, The WHS Band competed in the prestigious UIL AAAA State Marching Band Contest. After the preliminary round, with 26 of Texas' finest AAAA Bands, the Wakeland Band ranked 7th overall and 1st in the Marching caption.

Following the Finals round, the Wakeland Band earned a 4th place finish - a truly remarkable performance for their debut.
