Greetings Stafford Families!  

Isn't it amazing to think that school begins in just a few days?  We have been very busy preparing for your arrival and absolutely cannot wait to meet each of you.  For those of you who are "tenured" Stafford families, we look forward to seeing you again.   

Our first year absolutely flew by!  So many traditions were begun and are now part of our identity.  One of these traditions, home visits to our new 6th grade students, actually made the front page of the Dallas Morning News last Thursday! We hope that you were able to drop by to pick up your student's schedule and to walk the building.  If not, there will be some time for this next Monday, the first day of school.  We ask that you remind your children that they will need to pick up a new copy of their schedules next Monday when they get to school.  Sixth graders will be picking theirs up in the cafeteria. Seventh graders will meet in the practice gym, and eighth graders will be in the competition gym.  Students will remain in these locations until their Warrior teacher comes to get them.  As we did last year, all students will spend the first half of the first day of school with this teacher. This is a great time for us to get to know them, or for those returning to us, for us to get caught up.  

Should you need information on where to drop-off and pick-up your student, you can find  the traffic flow pattern on the Stafford website.  We ask that students not be dropped off prior to 7:45 as there will not be any supervision  before this time.  In addition, all students who are not in a club meeting or in a tutorial should be picked up prior to 4:15  each day.  

Throughout the year I will be emailing you all with updates on what is going on at Stafford.  There is also a great deal of information available on our website, including our daily announcements on podcast.  You may want to go ahead and mark your calendars for Thursday, September 10th.  This evening is Middle School Open House and is a great time for you to come and meet the teachers who are working with your children each day.  The schedule for this evening will be posted on our website soon, but the timeframe is 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M.  

You are always welcome at  Stafford.  We could not have had the success we did last year without each of you.  Thank you in advance for what I know is going to be a phenomenal year!
