Pioneer Heritage Accepts Rachel's Challenge
New Sexual Predator Detection System to be Implemented in 2009-2010
Beginning in August of 2009, Pioneer Heritage Middle School will use a new security system known as Raptor. To provide a greater security for our students, visitors who wish to have access to students or beyond our office area will be required to submit a driver's license which will then be scanned and a national sexual offender data base will be consulted.

A BIG thank you to all of the families who braved the weather to make it to Meet the Teacher Night last night. In true North Texas fashion, it started pouring about 5 minutes before six. Everyone still had a smile on their face. I know it is a fast paced night, but it is a great opportunity for you to get to know the people your children spend their day with, even if it is for a short time.

I would like to thank all of our parents, students, and teachers for helping to make the start of the 2009-2010 school year a successful one. I know that the shot records were a pain (7th grade parents know what I am talking about), but it is required by the state and they are just looking to keep all of our children safe. We also have a new sign-in system we are utilizing, we are working all the kinks out with RAPTOR. Thank you for your patience with that. Last of all, WE ARE SO GLAD TO HAVE STUDENTS BACK IN THE BUILDING!

I hope all our students are having a great summer, you have three weeks left until you get to come back to school. We are currently gearing up for another great year here at Pioneer Heritage! Parents, when you come up before school starts for things such as schedule pick up or registration; please bring current proof of residence or we will be hounding you for it until we get it :).
