What an exciting time it is at Heritage High School! I feel very blessed to be part of such an amazing staff and we believe our campus will be a positive place for everyone associated with it!
As Campus Coordinator for Athletics, I have had the privilege of working alongside our principal, Mark Mimms, and FISD Athletic Director, David Kuykendall, helping to assemble what we believe is a top-notch group of coaches.
My philosophy of coaching for 23 years has been “Coach ‘Em Up!”. I believe in building young people up and in using their strengths to work and overcome their weaknesses. Each youngster is important, each one matters and each one has something to offer. The greatest reward in coaching is helping youngsters discover who they are and what they have to give to their team, their school and, hopefully, their world. We want to teach invaluable life lessons, make a difference in their lives and show them how to do the same for others. I assure you our family of coaches at Heritage is made up of people who share this philosophy. We coach YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN…not a particular sport!
We look forward to great things from all of our athletic groups. Portions of our athletic program are up and running with athletes already competing in football, volleyball and cross country. We know there is much work to be done, but we are finally here at the starting line and that makes for an exciting time!
The task ahead of us is never as great as the power behind us!
WE…are Heritage!!
Go Coyotes!!!
