Sparks wins 1st prize in National Book Fair Contest...

Awarded Author visit by Gordon Korman!

Sparks Elementary School recently hosted well-known author Gordon Korman. The author visit was provided by Scholastic after Sparks won first place in the semi-annual Book fair contest sponsored by the company. In addition, Sparks was awarded a $2,000 book voucher. Korman not only autographed books, but also visited with students and faculty about his career and the importance of reading. He is the author of One False Step second in the The 39 Clues series, Swindle, and other childrens books.

Korman explains writing process to students
