My name is Brenda Youngblood. I am so honored to join the staff of Gunstream Elementary and continue my career in Frisco ISD.     I am originally from Hallettsville, Texas. (small rural community in South Texas)  I received a bachelor’s degree from what is now Texas State University in San Marcos and my master’s degree from Dallas Baptist University.  I have seventeen years of experience at the elementary level with six years in Frisco ISD.  My other years of experiences have been at various districts in central and east Texas.  My family includes my husband, Jon and children, Paige (15) and Clay (14).

I look forward to the opportunity to work with the students of Gunstream Elementary.  Children bring so many gifts to our lives.  My goals for the upcoming year are to build a partnership with the staff, parents and community members of Gunstream.   I feel this partnership will allow students to feel safe, happy and wanting to learn.  I will also strive to create a learning environment where all children excel academically as well as socially and emotionally.
