National CTE Organizations

ACTE

The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) is the largest national education association dedicated to the advancement of education that prepares youth and adults for careers.

CORD

The Center for Occupational Research and Development (CORD) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to leading change in education. Since 1979, we have created educational tools and innovative programs to empower faculty and prepare students for greater success in careers and higher education.

CTAT

The Career & Technology Association of Texas, on behalf of career and technical educators in Texas, promotes quality instructional partnerships with business and industry to successfully prepare every student for the challenges of postsecondary education, a globally competitive workplace and active citizenship. TBTEA

Texas Business & Technology Educator's Association (TBTEA) is a non-profit organization that is part of the Texas Career and Technology Council (TCTC). The Association is closely affiliated with the National Business Education Association (NBEA), the Mountain-Plains Business Education Association (M-PBEA), and the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE).

ATTE

The Mission of Association of Texas Technology Education is to be the primary advocate for the study of Technology Education, in all grades, to prepare the youth of Texas for success in a Technological Society.

FCSTAT

Formed in 1963, Family and Consumer Sciences Teachers Association of Texas is the only professional organization dedicated solely to representing family and consumer sciences teachers in Texas. FCSTAT represents over 3,000 professional family and consumer sciences educators, secondary, post secondary educators and administrators; cooperative extension educators, retired educators and university students enrolled in family and consumer sciences education programs.

HEAT

In 1996, the Hospitality Educators Association of Texas (HEAT) was formed to further professionalism for secondary educators who are teaching hospitality and tourism programs in the state of Texas. HEAT is governed by a 21 member board of directors, consisting of high school and college hospitality educators and industry professionals.

MET

The mission of Marketing Education of Texas at the prebaccalaureate level is to develop competent workers for marketing occupations though instructional programs that provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to continue their Marketing Education beyond high school and/or to enter career level positions in marketing.

TIVA

Texas Industrial Vocational Association's mission is to set forth goals and strategies. To provide members with the best education and personal benefits enriching lives. Promote leadership for educators in the knowledge and development of Trade and Industrial Education.

VATAT

The Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas (VATAT) is a professional organization for agriculture science teachers and supporters of agriculture education. The VATAT is an organization dedicated to member services. The Association informs agriculture teachers about the latest agricultural education practices, encourages higher standards of teaching agriculture and provides agriculture education a unified voice in the state legislature.
