Jim Kazanski Principal kazanskj@friscoisd.org 469-633-6801	My name is Jim Kazanski and I am the principal of the KEYS program. I've been an administrator for 13 years with Frisco and Plano ISD's. Prior to that, I worked for 16 years as a teacher, coach, and athletic coordinator. I earned a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University, and a master's degree from TWU. My wife Kathy serves as principal at Ashley Elementary in FISD. Two of our three boys are college graduates and one is a Senior at Texas A&M.
Susie Chaisson Secretary chaisss@friscoisd.org 469-633-6806	My name is Susie Chaisson and I have worked in FISD for 17 years, all of those here at the Acker Complex. I have been married to Roland for 26 years and we have two children. Both attended FISD schools from kindergarten through 12th grade, and graduated from Frisco High School. Kyle is now an Irving police officer and Kori attends Collin College.
Lisa Vernon Intervention Facilitator vernonl@friscoisd.org 469-633-6859	My name is Lisa Vernon. I am a school social worker with Frisco ISD in the KEYS program. I have been a social worker and advocate for families for the past 20 years. My family and I moved to Frisco from Champaign, Illinois. I attended the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and earned my B.A. in Psychology and Masters in Social Work. My husband and I have been married 18 wonderful years, have 4 wonderful children: Ronnie, Keonte, Jeren, and Landen. I am a dance instructor with the Alphabest program at Bright Elementary.
Vickie Ryan Teacher ryanv@friscoisd.org 469-633-6818	Shortly after graduating from Texas Tech in 1981, I began my teaching career in Richardson, Texas. After 15 years in Richardson, I moved to Frisco, and worked at Rogers Elementary before coming to the KEYS program. I have taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. I have 2 children ages 26 and 24. My son and daughter-in-law teach in Frisco ISD. My daughter was recently married, and also teaches in Frisco. My husband, Dave, and I are expecting our first grandchild this fall!
Valerie Nguyen Teacher petrov@friscoisd.org 469-633-6819	Hello!! My name is Valerie Nguyen. This past summer my husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. I am so excited about starting my sixth year at KEYS. I grew up in Carrolton, Texas and graduated from University of Texas at Dallas in December, 2004. I love learning and trying new things. When I am away from school, I enjoy spending time with my family, my husband, and friends.
Sue Stafford Teacher staffors@friscoisd.org 469-633-6857	My name is Sue Stafford. I teach 6th grade social studies, 7th grade Texas history, and 8th grade U.S history. I began teaching in Frisco in 1979. I enjoy working with middle school students, reading good books, and watching kids play sports. My children are both teachers. I love spending time with my four grandchildren.
Mary Reck Teacher reckm@friscoisd.org 469-633-6816	My name is Mary Reck. I grew up in the bootheel of Missouri; Caruthersville, Missouri. I attended college in Indiana. After graduating from Purdue University, I worked for Control Data Corporation, a computer manufacturer. Later, I earned a teaching certificate from UTD in Richardson, Texas. Prior to coming to Frisco in 2005, I taught in Plano ISD.
Emily Vega Teacher vegae@friscoisd.org 469-633-6854	My name is Emily Vega. I am beginning my eighth year as a teacher and my fourth year in Frisco. I graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2003. I am now pursuing my counseling degree. I have been married to my husband Chris for four years. I enjoy reading, shopping, playing golf and spending time with my family and friends. I am looking forward to a great school year at KEYS.
Les Baker Teacher bakerl@friscoisd.org 469-633-6817	Hi, I'm Les Baker and I teach Science and P.E.. This is my third year at KEYS and I am looking forward to working with the wonderful staff we have here. I was born in Ohio and have lived in Texas for the last 30 years, with a brief visit of five years in Las Vegas. I have been married to a wonderful lady, Kathy, for the last 9 years. I have a son who graduated from Ohio State University and now works in New Mexico. I have taught science for 14 years.I enjoy college sports, working out, and music.
Heather McGowan Teacher mcgowanh@friscoisd.org 469-633-6814	My name is Heather McGowan. I graduated from Plano Senior High School and received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University. I worked for a consulting firm for 5 years before going back to school for my teaching certification. I realized that helping children was truly my passion. I received my certification in Math and Special Education. I have taught middle school for the past 7 years in both McKinney and Frisco and am currently the Special Education teacher in the KEYS program. I also recently received my Masters of Education in School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. My husband Sean and I have two children, Grant, who is 5 years old, and Gage, who is 1. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, attending sporting events, listening to music, going to dinner, and shopping!
Yesenia Villagomez Teacher nietog@friscoisd.org 469-633-6821	My name is Yesenia Villagomez. I graduated from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. I have resided in Frisco for the past twenty years and remember when the Frisco area at Preston and Main was foreign to most residents. I began my education at Acker and now have the pleasure of teaching here too. My husband, David, and I are both Frisco High School graduates. I am teaching math in the STAR program. I am excited to be part of the Acker team and look forward to helping our students grow.
Judy Turbeville Teacher turbevij@friscoisd.org. 469-633-6820	I graduated from North Texas State University, which is now University of North Texas, with a Bachelor of Science. I was with the Gainesville ISD for 15 years where I taught 5th and 6th grade Computer Science. I have three children, all of whom are married and have blessed me with 7 grandchildren. My daughter is a 2nd grade teacher at Corbell Elementary School here in Frisco. I enjoy hiking, travel, and spending time with my family.
Jeana Williams Teaching Asst. williamsj@friscoisd.org 469-633-6806	I was born and raised in Irving, Texas. This will be my seventeenth year as a teaching assistant, the last ten here in Frisco. I enjoy reading, walking, water sports, and going to the beach. My husband Ken and I have one son, Andy. He is in the United States Navy and we are very proud of him.
Susanne Fife Nurse chewninl@friscoisd.org 469-633-6808	My name is Loni Chewning. Prior to coming to Texas in 2004, I lived in New Jersery. I graduated from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania with a degree in education. This is my first year at KEYS and my thirteenth year in education. My two wonderful sons, daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren, are my pastimes. I also enjoy spending time at the beach. I am excited to be working with the students in the STAR program.
Susanne Fife Nurse fifes@friscoisd.org 469-633-6814	My name is Susanne Fife. I am the school nurse for Acker KEYS, the SOC, the Child Development Center, and often assist at the Early Childhood School. I have been a RN since 1977. I am married to Randy and have three children, Landon, Hayley, and step son, Ryan. I have been at Acker since 1997 and still love it!
