Animation I (CTEC) – (2 credits) 11th -12th grade
Prerequisite: Digital Graphics and Animation
or Teacher Recommendation
Animation 1 is a continuation of the material learned in the digital graphics and animation coursework and focuses on advanced 2-D motion graphics and beginning level 3-D motion graphics. Currently, students are exposed to industry standard software (ex. Flash, Lightwave and 3D Studio Max). Students taking this course should fit one of the following profiles: be able to create web pages and have a desire to strengthen Internet Publishing skills; have a desire to learn storyboard, 3-D Modeling, and skills or have an interest in video game programming or film animation. This course provides a “waiver” of 1/2 credit of P. E. for each semester completed in addition to any credit received in this course. Materials fee required for this course. This is a Tech Prep articulated course. |

Animation II (CTEC) - (2 credits) 11th -12th grade
Prerequisite: Animation I and Teacher Recommendation
Animation II is a continuation of the material learned in the Animation I course and focuses on animation coursework and advanced 2-D motion graphics and beginning level 3-D motion graphics. Currently, students are exposed to industry standard software (EX: MAYA, Lightwave and 3D Studio Max). Students taking this course should fit one of the following profiles: be able to create web pages and have a desire to strengthen Internet Publishing skills; have a desire to learn storyboard, 3-D Modeling, and skills or have an interest in video game programming or film animation. Animation I students must have mastered minimum skills with teacher recommendation to move on to Animation II. This course provides a “waiver” of 1/2 credit of P. E. for each semester completed in addition to any credit received in this course. Materials fee required for this course. This is a Tech Prep articulated course |
