CTEC Food Drive

CTEC Students visit Cowboy Stadium
The Marketing, Civil Engineering/Architecture and Advertising Design II students received a tour of the new Cowboy stadium this month. The tour took them through the entire stadium focusing on the construction, marketing and design.
Some of the facts the students learned were that the stadium is the largest domed stadium in the world, has the world's largest column-free interior, holds the largest HD video screen which hangs from 20 yard line to 20 yard line as well as all the Dallas-based firms that helped design and construct the stadium.
CTEC Honored With Workforce Catalyst Award
The Frisco Independent School District received the workforce catalyst award for its CTE (Career and Technology Education) Center. The workforce catalyst award is presented to a company or organization that strengthens and prepares the workforce through education and/or innovative programming. To read the full story click here.

2009 Terrazzo Honor Award
The CTE Center has been honored with a 2009 Terrazzo Honor Award from the National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association for the innovative use of recycled products to produce an illuminating and artistic terrazzo floor. The school is one of 14 national winners. For full story click here.
2009 Exhibit of School Architecture Award
Frisco ISD Career and Technical Education Center won special recognition as outstanding secondary school project in this year’s TASA/TASB Exhibition of School Architecture. The project won citations in all six categories of judging. The award categories include: value, process of planning, design, educational appropriateness, innovation, and sustainability.
GO CENTER
College students from TWU come once a week to the CTEC to assist our students in researching post-secondary education, search for scholarships; and help students fill out applications. For more information contact the Couselor, Mrs. Jennings.
