Anticipation is high as we start the new school year of 2007-2008! We begin our 4th season of varsity competition and are very proud of the accomplishments from the past year of our athletes, teams, and coaches. Our volleyball team was District Champion and advanced to the Regional Finals. Cole Reveal qualified and competed in the State Cross Country Meet. In swimming, Colton Palmer, Adam Loufty, Steve Alexander, Alexis Ramirez, Haley Blizzard, Alexandra Pratts, and Sasha Johnson all qualified and competed in the State Swim Meet. Titan Wrestling sent 2 boys, Juan Dominguez and Brent Holtrop, to the State Wrestling Tournament with Brent bringing home a 3rd place medal. The boy’s team also finished as District Champions. On the women’s side of wrestling, 5 ladies represented CHS at the State Wrestling Tournament, Lene’ Wood, Kirsten Gunia, Ashley Lee, Emily Martin, and Maliha Mithani. These ladies finished as Team State Runner-Up with Emily Martin garnering her first State Championship and Lene’ being crowned State Champion for the second year in a row. Along with the boys, the girl’s team also finished as District Champions. Our boy’s soccer team was District Champion and Regional Quarter-Finalists. In track and field, Cole Reveal competed in the State Track Meet in distance running while Patrick Kimbley competed in the long jump. CHS Tennis was represented at the State Tournament with Narine Kazarova competing in singles and Dennis Roy and Allie Chermel finishing as State Runner-Up in mixed doubles. The Lady Titan softball team advanced to the playoffs for the first time ever. Our boy’s golf team finished as District Co-Champions. Last year was a BIG YEAR for Centennial Athletics and we’re looking for an even bigger one this time around!
Many “Thanks” are due to the parents, booster clubs, faculty, staff, and administration of all our athletic programs. We want you to know your support is very much appreciated! Our entire coaching staff is committed to providing your son or daughter with the best possible experience they could have. We wish all our athletes the best of success this year as they compete and represent themselves, our school, and our community to the very best of their abilities.
