School Board Elections Scheduled for May 10
Place 4 and 5 on the FISD Board of Trustees are up for election on May 10. Incumbent Brenda Polk, Place 4, is running for re-election and is being opposed by Janet Maccubbin. Polk, 47, is a full-time community volunteer. Maccubbin, 40, is the Downtown Coordinator of the City of Frisco.
Incumbent Richard Beaver, Place 5, is running for re-election and is being opposed by Jeremy Starritt. Beaver, 53, is director of Adventa Control Technologies, Inc. Starritt, 30, is the environmental education coordinator for the City of Frisco.
The last day to register to vote is April 10 of this year. The last day to apply for a ballot by mail (by bringing application in person, not mail) is May 2, 2008.
Early voting begins on April 28 and ends May 6. Voting locations and times
