Student Wins NTTA Design Contest
Congratulations to Liberty High School junior Gavin Morales who was chosen as the winner of the NTTA Design Contest. NTTA Roadside Safety Services and Safety Operations Center staff served as judges for the contest and report that there was a record number of submissions across DFW in the promotion of safe driving. Congrats to Gavin on his winning design!
Liberty Teacher is 97.5 KLAK April Teacher of Month
Congratulations to Liberty High School world language teacher Patricia Flores who was nominated and selected as the April Teacher of the Month by 97.5 KLAK. She won a cash prize and was celebrated in an online interview that can be found on the KLAK Facebook page. Keep up the great work!
Wakeland Art Students Named Top 50 in Shoe Design Contest
Visual art students Tate Bladon, Caroline Girard, Elle Miller and Paige Jansky of Wakeland High School have been named Top 50 finalists in the Vans Custom Culture Contest. The students beat out thousands of entries to become finalists and are eligible to win scholarships while the campus is eligible for thousands of dollars in awards.
Their entries are within the Hometown Pride and Head in the Clouds categories. The Hometown Pride design was created to encompass a unique perspective of Frisco as a cultural melting pot. The Head in the Clouds design is focused on the personal experience and what inspires students, motivates their creativity and makes them feel euphoric and hopeful.

Students Donate Books to Title 1 Campuses
Sisters Pranavi Reddi of Centennial High School and Shreelakshya Reddi of Lawler Middle School joined forces in support of Frisco ISD Title 1 campuses by fundraising to donate about 7,000 books valued at nearly $30,000. Their non-profit Kindness 4 All is is eager to give back to the community, while ensuring all students have access to high-interest books.
