Non-Teaching Staff Deserve a Standing Ovation

Mar 24, 2021

Congratulations to Lawler Middle School’s Stacy Castellanos and Clark Middle School’s Liseth Hernandez who will be recognized during the April Board meeting as Frisco ISD’s Standing Ovation Award winners for February.

The Standing Ovation Award winners were nominated by their peers and are distinguished examples of the District’s non-teaching staff. Through their positive attitude and servant leadership, they are shining examples of employees who take initiative and consistently exceed expectations.

Stacey Castellanos - Lawler Middle School

Lawler team poses with Stacey Castellanos, February Standing Ovation WinnerStacey Castellanos is a custodian at Lawler Middle School who brings a keen attention to detail to her work keeping the campus clean from day to day. Her smile is contagious (even behind her mask!) as she helps students and staff. She consistently steps up to any needs on the campus, even when they are not within her typical realm of responsibility, including making sure coffee is brewing every morning for staff. Castellanos spends time at lunch developing relationships with students, especially those served in the Structured Learning Class. She cares not only for the basic needs of the campus but the social-emotional needs of students and staff as well. Lawler is appreciative of all of her hard efforts!

Liseth Hernandez - Clark Middle School

Team poses with Liseth Hernandez, Clark Middle School Standing Ovation WinnerLiseth Hernandez is the cafeteria manager at Clark where she serves over 280 students each day and helps coordinate the meal distribution for children that pick up over 5,500 meals once a week from the campus. Meal distribution runs smoothly at Clark thanks to the extra work she puts into ordering, preparing and distributing meals. She has figured out how to make it all work with a smile on her face and her willingness to do whatever it takes to make the endeavor successful for students and their families. Hernandez is humble, reliable and willing to jump in no matter the task. Liseth is one of a kind and the Child Nutrition Department and Clark Middle School consider themselves lucky to have her on the FISD team.
