Centennial Speech and Debate Students Compete at Nationals

Students from Centennial High School represented Frisco ISD at the National Speech & Debate Tournament held June 18-23 in Birmingham, Alabama. More than 4,200 high school students from across the country competed.

Student Gary Frankel competed against more than 800 students in extemporaneous commentary and placed in the top 15 in the nation.  

Ally Dunford was a semifinalist in congressional debate and finished in the top 20.

Chris Bartee and Daniel Grinffiel competed in public forum debate and won six of their rounds, placing in the top 50.

Congratulations to these students for their success and for advancing to the national competition!
