FISD Wrestlers Dominate in District Meet

Frisco ISD wrestlers dominated the District 8-5A meet held Friday, February 10, and Saturday, February 11, at Prosper High School. In the boys’ competition, the team from Centennial High School was crowned district champions with Liberty High School coming in as the runner-up. In the girls’ division, the team from Liberty finished second behind The Colony High School.

Individually, FISD had 11 boys and 7 girls take home district titles in their respective weight classes. They are as follows:

Overall, 67 FISD wrestlers advanced to the Region II Championships by virtue of finishing in the top four of their respective weight classes in the district meet. The Region II meet will be held February 17 and 18 at Wakeland High School.
