Upon realizing that he could not play forever, Price started Leverage University (TPD) in 2007. Leverage University is an organization that strives to deliver a continuum of consistent services designed to enhance a productive relationship between physical conditioning and athletic development. Price created an avenue for educating and training athletes to be well rounded in physical conditioning and sport specific athletic preparation while providing internship opportunities based upon their desired degree field. Later he partnered with NCSA Athletic recruiting to enhance his offering to include recruiting educational seminars for both the student athlete and their families. These endeavors paved the way for his transition to the other side of the whistle.

Marcus commented, “Being chosen to participate in the field is a tremendous honor there nothing better than being recognized and being respected by colleagues you encountered along the way.”

Topical education and conversation during the academy may include: effective communication with campus and community constituents; the importance of building culture focused on the overall success of the student-athletes both on and off the field; budget management of a football program; coaching strategies and philosophies.

As a participant at this academy, Price will gain knowledge from a variety of workshops and interactive-discussion sessions. You will also be able to network with individuals that include the other participants, NCAA and NFL staff and other key resources in the industry. Keynote speakers have included Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer, Alabama Nick Saban, legendary NFL coaches Dan Reeves and Tony Dungy, NFL Hall of Famer Mike Singletary, and Tyrone Willingham, former head coach at Notre Dame, Stanford and the University of Washington.
