The Frisco Association for the Arts continues to support Frisco ISD seniors who plan to pursue a college degree in the arts.
President Tammy Meinershagen presented a $15,000 donation to the Frisco Education Foundation to support the Foundation’s scholarship program.
“Frisco Arts is proud to celebrate our 20th anniversary with the expansion of our scholarship program that will benefit future generations of fine arts professionals,” Meinershagen said. “All Frisco Arts scholarships are funded through private fundraising, not public funds, and this year we are thrilled to award $15,000 in scholarships to the Frisco Education Foundation for students pursuing a career in the fine arts. This represents a 15-fold increase in our contribution from last year and it demonstrates our strong commitment to nurturing the creative minds of Frisco’s emerging artists.”
Funds were awarded in May to three graduating seniors in the Class of 2016 who applied for a scholarship through FEF and are continuing their education in an art-related field.
