Elliott Elementary hosted its third annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Fair in May, thanks to the Frisco Education Foundation (FEF) and support from local STEM professionals.

FEF presented a grant to fund T-shirts, tri-fold boards, certificates and ribbons for participants at the school’s event.

More than 140 students created research projects in areas of science, math, technology and engineering.

STEM professionals from the community came to talk to students and offer them feedback on their projects.

Representatives from the Dallas Zoo, the Perot Museum, Sci-Tech Discovery Museum, Engineering for Kids and the McKinney Public Library were among those volunteering.

Many professionals encouraged students to pursue their interests and possible career options with STEM in mind.
