Frisco Education Foundation President–Elect Honored with Spirit Award

Peter BurnsFrisco Education Foundation President–Elect and Mindbender Academy Program Chair Peter Burns was honored recently at the 2013 Immigrant Journey Awards for his dedication to making a difference in the community.

Hosted by the Badmus Law Firm on April 18, the event paid tribute to those immigrants who have who have reached the pinnacle of success in their adopted country. 

Burns was presented with the Immigrant Spirit Award, which recognizes an immigrant civic leader or elected official who has contributed substantially to the community or the region.

Frisco trailblazer, Adil Adi, President and CEO of Worldlink, Inc., was also honored with the Immigrant Entrepreneur Award, which is presented to immigrant business owners who have founded a highly successful business in Dallas-Fort Worth. Adi's company Worldlink developed the Frisco ISD mobile app

"These awards celebrate those who have chosen to make this country their home and whose outstanding achievements serve as a role model and an inspiration to us all. Like our past honorees, this year's recipients have achieved remarkable success and give back to the community as well,” said the firm’s founder, Ann Massey Badmus.
