FOX4 InterviewLiberty High School senior Andrea Shaver recently appeared on FOX4 News along with Frisco Chamber of Commerce President Tony Felker.

The pair discussed Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) of Frisco, a program that provides entrepreneurial opportunities for Frisco ISD students in grades 6-12.

Over the course of the program, students brainstorm business ideas, write a business plan, interact with business professionals, pitch their business plan to potential investors, obtain funding, legally register their businesses and participate in a Trade Show.

Shaver, a graphic design and illustration student at the FISD Career and Technical Education Center, launched her business, Flaming Squirrel Design, through the program last school year.
