Nineteen Frisco High School Art students with 21 works advance to State VASE Art competition at the University of Houston at Clear Lake on Saturday, April 14th.

AP Art students include Rianna Babb, Carlos Calderon, Travis Case, Malwina Chaczko, Chris Crochet, Logan Fair, Ashlynn Greenwood, Lauren Howey, Moon Kang, Kelly Kazimierczak, Jasmine Kim, Chris Klabunde, Alex Laquey, Derick Lowe, Mellissa Stepczyk, Gerardo Martinez and Cody Walzel. Travis and Gerardo each have two artwork entries. Students will be accompanied by teachers Nancy Hardy and June Waggener.

The Texas Art Education Association has sponsored the Visual Arts Scholastic Event since 1992. A state awards ceremony follows a day of art workshops with medals awarded to students receiving a superior rating.
