The strength of Frisco ISD golf showed again at this year’s UIL Girls State Tournament as two FISD teams finished in the top six.

Lebanon Trail finished fourth and Liberty finished sixth at the two-day tournament, which was held at White Wing Golf Course in Georgetown.  The top FISD individual finisher was Raeleigh Davidson, who placed 15th. She was followed by Lebanon Trail’s Summer Lee in 16th.

Lebanon Trail’s team members were Lee, Madison Phung, Ryan Ko, Addison Ko and Esther Santos. Liberty’s team members were Davidson, Maya Jain, Ashley Zhang, Lizzy Stone and Erica Kim.

The state performance continues a strong golfing tradition for the two schools. Lebanon Trail finished as the 4A state girls runner-up in 2018 and the 5A state runner-up in 2019 and was poised to make a run at a state title last year, when the tournament was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Liberty girls finished in the top five of state in 2015, ’16 and ’17 and were seventh in 2018.
