Students Win Medals at Speech State Tournament

Three Frisco ISD students placed at the UIL Speech State Tournament held on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin.

Parker Butler, a senior at Liberty High School, won first place in Lincoln-Douglas Debate.

Gary Frankel, a senior at Centennial High School and four-time state finalist, placed second in Informative Speaking. He also placed sixth in Congress.

Brian Lee, a junior at Centennial, placed second in Persuasive Speaking.

With several top finishes, CHS finished second overall in the state among all 5A schools.

Other state qualifiers included Hamza Suhail from Centennial and Joseph Jiang from Independence High School.
