Purefoy and Lebanon Trail Celebrate WE DAY TEXAS
WE DAY celebrates students that have committed to local and global actions.
Purefoy Elementary School sent fourth and fifth grade students to the first annual WE DAY TEXAS event this month. Thirty-six students were selected through an application process by writing an essay of how Purefoy’s year-long service efforts have impacted them and how they plan to continue to be servant leaders in the future.
Purefoy commits to several kindness projects throughout the year. One of the global projects was a coin drive that raised $10,950 and collected over 400 books for DeQueen Elementary in Port Arthur.
Lebanon Trail High School students also took part in the event, sending students to make a presentation about the campus Best Buddies program.
